It has a population of around 10,500 and is one of Friesland's most famous water sport towns. Lots of tourist comes to visit our town every year , we are surrounded by lots of water , woods and roads to go every where and having fun.

info - Koudum is a very pleasant village, with many subsistence and recreational opportunities. An ideal base for water sports holiday or walking and cycling, because the village is centrally located in the varied National Landscape southwest Friesland, in the immediate vicinity of lakes and forests. Many holidaymakers will visit the cozy center of the village. Koudum has a wide range of shops and a number of cozy restaurants. Accommodations are available in the form of campsites, marinas, hotels, guesthouses, B&B and holiday homes.When in the summer visiting Koudum remember to take some delicious green beans with you, because that is a Koudumer specialty.

This grandfather I never knew , he died when I was 6 months old.
On the left grandfather I know he
could play very well on his Accardeon , and was a sweet man,
he died when I was 7...1 day after my twin sisters bin born.
on March 30 1965, my father told it him,
my grandfather was very ill, had cancer.
